WW1 Maps

Post by Siegfrid » Thu Jul 14, 2016 6:08 pm

Hello,
I have only, very recently, discovered this mod and I really love it! :D
I just tested the "Field of Ypres" map....and it is really a very good map.
I would like to try and create maps myself......But I have not been able to find any information about the tools to use, and some guidance & tips to make them!

Some tips and informations would be really appreciated :)

Merci beaucoup!

Take a look at the threads in this forum:

http://www.gamereplays.org/community/Co ... f1442.html

Also, this tutorial could be very useful if you want to make a WW1 map:

http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread. ... ront-Style

The Worldbuilder (CoH's mapping tool) is relatively easy to use. I managed to make a functional first map (Fields of Ypres) in less than one month and it was a fun process. Eye candy (splats etc.) can be much more time consuming. I can't really give you any tips since I haven't mapped in 2 years, but just take it slow, read the tutorials carefully, experiment in the editor and make sure you enjoy what you do.
